ST. James

Founded in 1976, ST. James was born with the belief that the home is the most important place in people’s lives. We see the home as our sanctuary, our little island of comfort and well-being to shield us from the noise and stress of the outside world. We also strongly believe in the power of beauty to elevate our spirits, warm our hearts and help us lead a healthier, happier life. As such, our mission has always been to help make the home an ever-pleasant environment, where we can be surrounded by beauty and meaning everywhere we look. We do so by making beautiful, high quality, handcrafted design objects to entertain and decorate the home, always with a human touch.

 

ABOUT PRODUCT

As the years go by we get lost in daily matters and when we reevaluate our lives we see that we have left some dreams behind. With this conscience the designer starts a series of works seeking the rescue with her dreams and with her self-knowledge. The AURA Line is the first line with this rescue, part of her desire for jewelry inserted in its current context – the design – thus creating a jewelry for the home.

NATASHA SCHLOBACH

Coming from a family of engineers and architects, Natasha Schlobach graduated in Industrial Design – Product Project from Faculdade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in 2009. While still at university; she obtained knowledge in ceramics, mou- dling, jewelry and furniture. After graduating, she worked as a designer and furniture and interior designer in some offices in São Paulo. She finished, in 2012, her post-graduation in furniture design by Senac, thus defining her main focus – the furniture. For three years she collaborated directly in the creation and development of products of an important design studio – Ovo. Thus plunging into the world of projects and furniture. In 2013, he participated in the team of architect Guilherme Torres, in the development of new pieces and the reformulation of previous lines getting more contact with international projects. In 2015, he joined the team of an advertising agency working directly with global brands in cultural and creative projects, thus developing a taste for consumer experience – deepening in experience creation projects. With his studio – opened in 2013 – where he signs outdoor furniture for brands such as Pollus, St. James and Century; and performs projects with curatorship and creative direction in the area of design and art. She was the curator of “Casa Brasil “NY 2022”, a project via Apex; a project that brought together 70 Brazilian industries with more than 100 Brazilian designers in the United States, presenting to the world the Brazilian power in the furniture sector. And in her second and current job, she was invited to be co-curator of Design Week Mexico 2022; a year in which Brazil is the honored country. She also works at ADP – Association of Product Designers – since 2014 as general director of ADP’s +Furniture Nucleus; and in the management from 2019 to 2023 as president of the association.
