ABOUT PRODUCT

Armchair 1021 was designed to be the star of any environment, with elements harmoniously combined to meet the most diverse style requirements. Signed by Fernando Motta, it expresses the designer’s intimate character. It highlights the strong propensity for innovation, typical of Toro Bianco, and on the Other hand, it highlights generous and involving shapes.

FERNANDO MOTTA

Born in Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais. Self-taught in design and sculpture, he often claims that his career started as a child, as he says he was “born drawing and creating”. He holds a degree in industrial design from the School of Design at the University of State of Minas Gerais, in 2000. Since then, he has been participating in national and international publications and Exhibitions, such as Milan, USA, Israel and South Africa. He has also been recognized with a number of awards and appearances such as Brasil Design Award, German Design Award, Samsung Design Award, Prêmio Artefacto Design, Museu da Casa Brasileira, and Anglogold Auditions. He is involved in various branches of product design, with expressive presence in the high-end furniture market. Motta creates his own trends and has his own design style because he believes that design must be unique to be different. His motto is: “Trends must be created and not followed”.
